This week the dudes get their mythology on with Kid Icarus. Kid Icarus was a famous game that was brought into the gaming world by none other that Nintendo’s R&D 1. Much like other games brought to the NES from R&D 1 (ahem…. Metroid), Kid Icarus brings a lot of fun, frustration and ultimately enjoyment.
In the show the guys talk about their experiences playing this game and their many frustrations. They also bring in many tangents as usual. The show also features a few embarrassing moments, that the listener will enjoy.
There is also a quiz game that puts Justin on the spot this time , with horrible results. The Dudes love talking this NES classic and we hope that you enjoy the show as much.
Happy listening

I only played this game a small handful of times, but it was good. The real deal is Pit in smash bros. brawl, where he is my go to character nearly every time i play.

Hey dudes, i wouldn't advise reading this on the podcast as i've just rambled on and on and could have written more, which is why i hardly post on your site as i will just gush about my favourite games all day, Sorry
I love me some Kid Icarus, but be warned this game will test your patience as this is one of the hardest games on the system, with tight responsive controls the only room for error seen in this game is your own mishaps. Kid Icarus is a double edged arrow of hard(nes) on the one hand you can try and run through the level and dodge most of the enemies which most of the time was my preferred option but then after reading the manual online I found out you need to get a certain amount of skill points at the checkpoints to level up and now the game is even harder as you have to hit all the extra cavern(?) doors for bonus points and try to spawn out and kill as many enemies as possible just to get the skill points to level up this is where the RPG elements come in to the game which make it slightly unique for its early Nes release. The prices of stuff in the shops is well, hmmm very very expensive, if you need a health item just to get through the stage you wont have enough money in the next stage to buy the better health item you need to get through that one, basically they make you perfect each level (at least in my experience), although a sneaky trick if your leveled up enough you can press a+b (or something like that) on the 2nd controller and the shop keeper will either drop or raise his prices of items depending on your skill level. I have spent countless hours on each stage let alone on this game as a whole and i still havent got past the 4th level (or stage) and yet i still love it, a truly fantastic game from Nintendo.
Cheers Baz

When it comes to Kid Icarus,I simply ask this one question:How can you not love a game that allows you to battle Eggplants?
